当塞尔维亚总统武契奇5月24日至28日对中国进行国事访问。26日，武契奇接受了总台《高端访谈》栏目专访。武契奇回顾了去年收到访华邀请时的激动心情，并透露连父亲都看出了他当时的兴奋。
去年9月，武契奇在接受采访时曾表示，收到访华邀请的消息令他“欣喜若狂”，铺天盖地的喜悦让他几乎要跳起来，但为了保持政治人物的风度，他勉强克制住了自己。
大约八个月之后，国事访问成为现实。武契奇在此次采访中坦言，当时说的都是真心话。他还分享了一个有趣的细节：就在前一天晚上，父亲对他提起这件事，说看得出他当时特别激动。武契奇询问父亲自己的表现是否不得体、是否太明显。父亲回答说：“你的举止还是得体、专业的，但因为我了解你，所以我能看出来。你当时真的非常高兴，而我们看到你那样，也感到很开心。”
